David Egger began SalemIndiana.com as a test project for his Senior Computer Science project at DePauw University. The site was originally designed for only the class of 2001 to use, however once the site got started, David expanded the site for all graduating classes.

The site uses the PHP scripting language, as well as MySQL for a database backend. CSS is utilized throughout the site, and in the future, XML will be used for data transfer.

David recently graduated with a BA in Computer Science, concentration in Economics from DePauw University. Currently, David is attending law school at the IU School of Law in Indianapolis and working in Sales and Marketing for Apple Computer, Inc.
